Changing Multiple Orifice/Capillary into TXV - LG Package Unit

    Dear all,

    Good Day

Is it recommended to change multiple orifice/capillary into Thermostatic Expansion Valve, what could be the impact on compressor performance? & refrigerating effect. LG Package Unit Model # LK-C2408C00. thank you all in advance for your input.

Who is recommending changing what the manufacturer has spent $1000's designing?

Do those capillaries all connect to a coil?

So, new TXV, new distributor and new capillaries to the coil. Some bodies got their work cut out getting that conversion done.

Just seems a pointless exercise to me.

The manufacturers would have used TXVs if it was a better option.
