404a help
I have a 404a glycol chiller that doesnt have a typical expansion valve. On the high side I have a copper bulb, into a smaller diameter copper, then into 3/8" evap coil. Im new to components. Can someone explain what ive got?

Is the small diameter copper a metered orifice?

Sounds like you have a capillary expansion device.

Sounds very like a cappillary system, presume theres no liquid receiver?

Out of compressor into condensor, out of condensor into copper bulb into small diameter tube.

Pretty application specific seems like. Damn. Im upgrading compressor from 3/4 to 1.5hp. Im guessing ill need an expansion valve.
