Oil traps for r407c
Hi there,
question do you needs oil traps on r407c air conditioning systems, I now on most systems they should be every 10m's or so, I was told that oil traps not needed on r407c is this correct!!!

highcool splits, airedale units do, most brandsof splits dont, ie daikn,fujitsu,mitsi,tosh
check the installation manual

Oil traps are used to ensure that the oil returns to the compressor where lengthy vertical suction lines are installed and the evaporator is installed below the condenser/compressor. They are generally used on refrigeration, but not so much on air conditioning systems.
The type of refrigerant is not usually the deciding factor.

No matter if it is refrigeration or air condition system. Allways use oil trap's to secure that the oil is returning to the compressor.
