i recieved a window type air cond
2 ton
cooling only
i check ed the compressor so the reading wasnt correct
also there were leaks with strange green material on the pipes of the condensor on the leak places
i checked the resistance between compresoor lead
R lead was not giving read
so i removed the compressor
then
i cut the case of the compressor
and i seriously surprised with how damage happened to it
























over load !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

see your hands better- wear doctors gloves or barrier cream- oil can be acidic

Did that thing have an 10mm bolt as a fuse?? Was there any cable left supplying it?

I've seen that black stuff before when R407c ends up with moisture in it.

this unit had burnout compressor before
so it been replaced before 3 years with the current burn out compressor

i know the technesians who replaced it
they replaced the first one
with the current compressor without flushing the system
and with in sufficient vacuum
i wander where does the green stuff on the leaks place came from

wow ......that is serious burning !
this was either low voltage cooking,
or repeated short circuit ruptures .
acid and copper ,or copper oxidation , would all show up as green guk.

i hit the compressor winding with hammer
the winding are from aluminuim not copper
