oil level is high frascold compressor

    Hello everyone,

There is defective compressor V 2571Y model Frascold. Compressor is running chiller. Should be 4.5 liter oil in compressor but compressor oil output 9 liter and compressor mechanics is defective.

What is the reasons you could be over oil?

Re: oil level is high frascold compressor

    Hi ilker
Some refrigerants move a lot of oil around a system and if the system is not fully charged this oil in the LP side is not returned to the compressor. If someone adds oil to the compressor and then adds refrigerant to the system the oil in the PL side will be returned to the compressor and it will become overfilled with oil. If this happens the crankshaft will start hitting the oil and this could cause the crankshaft to break or cause other damage to the compressor.
If a system is short of refrigerant then this should be addressed first, if you have to add oil to allow the compressor to run the once the system is fully charged then the extra oil will have to be removed.
    Hope this helps.
