    hi
i bought i new chest freazer
    its Turkish made
    ***** r134a
    comprssor embarco
its working very well and freezing good
    drawn current is 1 ampere
    220 volt current
    its making clicking noise
i checked both compressor and its cooling fan are fine
the sound come from between the metering device and the condensor

i heard the same sound from another refrigerator which been compressor replaced then charged with r134a

Liquid followed by vapour leaving the capillary tube. This cycle repeats after compressor start up and can be annoying until the system balances out.

Or it can be present all the time compressor works. In my case all zoo is heard when it works. I dont mind. I have been living 15 years one floor below big industrial centrifugal dryer out of balnce, and these sounds are pretty comforting for me.

None that I know without changing diameter and length of capillary tube. Noise is made because of high speed of refrigerant at capillary entrance to evaporator. Some same model fridges, from same manufacturer, makes noise and some no.
Best is to complain about noise and ask for new fridge.

Re: my chest freezer is making clicking noise

Some manufacturers realise that their domestic fridges are prone to various noises and use cork insulation on that exposed area where the capillary feeds into the Evaporator. Chest freezers have the cap tube buried in the insulation and if the pouring of expanding foam hasn't completely sealed capillary outlet then there is room for vibration and a whistling sound.

If your freezer's clicking sound doesn't settle down after 5 minutes or so then your freezer doesn't have a full gas charge. I'm saying a fraction short and that allows an inconsistent mix of liquid and vapour on a critical charge system. ( Large pockets of vapour followed by liquid, then another feed of compressed vapour creates the clicking sound.)

No. Just adds a longer run cycle and a slightly warmer compressor.
