    TRANE CHNN035 master valve oil

hi for all, I have a problem with a Trane chiller RTAA070 that holds oil in the separator in one of the circuits. Can it be that the master valve not closing properly oil? In that case, you know how to access it?. Thank for you time. Best regards from Argentina

    thanks:

RTAA machine does not have that capacity solenoid valve teacher.

the three that has the compressor valves are below

    loading solenoid valve
    solenoid valve discharge
    load solenoid valve female lobe

what is your problem with this machine in my profile if you like my email to this comment

Re: TRANE CHNN035 master valve oil

    Hi
if you mail me i will send you the manual.
    Oil System Operation
    Overview
Oil that collects in the bottom of the oil
    separator is at condensing pressure
    during compressor operation;
therefore, oil is constantly moving to
    lower pressure areas. Refer to
    Figure 43.
As the oil leaves the separator, it passes
through the air-cooled oil cooler at the
top of the condensing coils. It then
goes through the service valve and
filter. At this point, some of the oil is
used to control the slide valve
movement in the compressor, via the
    load/unload solenoids. The remaining
oil passes through the oil master
    solenoid valve and performs the
    functions of compressor bearing
    lubrication and compressor oil
injection. If the compressor stops for
any reason, the master solenoid valve
closes, isolating the oil charge in the
separator and oil cooler during “off”
    periods

    good luck

Re: TRANE CHNN035 master valve oil

the problem is that the oil is not skeptical before its level in the separator. By the method of liquid viewer I can not oil level. In addition, the PLC shows "lubrication system failure". The machine has 12 years of use and never damage the refrigerant circuit. then, oil has never lost either.
Goshen: I have the manual but does not clarify what the master valve oil.
    thanks.

Re: TRANE CHNN035 master valve oil

According to the manual (Figure 22) the master oil valve is a pressure actuated valve and not a valve solenoid

Hii would check your oil filter !a diff presostat is probably feeling a big drop in pressure .change your filter or at least messure the pressure drop according to trane specs and take it from there!good luck

What is the run time before it is going to trip. Have you checked oil difference between oil filter. From your post I understand that you can see the oil level in separator, and then is going to trip. Or do you mean that you cannot see the oil level in separator? As per the diagram oil line solenoid is not pressure actuates, it electrical solenoid valve.

Re: TRANE CHNN035 master valve oil

the oil level is lower than required by trane (<5 "), the differential pressure is 1 psi, the oil valve is not electrical. Only has three solenoid valves, are the control of loading and unloading of compressor.

verifies that the temperature sensors are well

    saturated condenser temperature sensor
    oil temperature sensor

    diff -4 ° f lubrication failure
