hi mate,its gone now, mki rs1600 BDA,2 owners from new,should have kept it,doing a nice mk2 track/fast road car now,cheers.mark.

no way in the world i would part with an rs 1600 bda.
good luck with the mk2, but they were never a match for the mk1 for my money.Takes a licking, keeps on ticking.

as an apprentice I was offered a Mk RS2000 or a 'hot' Mexico. however as an 18 year old I just could afford the car but not the insurance.
It wasn't till ten years later that I managed to buy a Mk II RS2000 . When my ex left me part of the divorce was my car which she took and promptly blew the engine..so I ended up giving it away for almost scrap value..
Of course these wern't really the car to have but there was no way I could have bought one of those belt drive assembly jobbies

there you go, its a harrier,body shotblasted,repaneled,floors,doors,a posts,wings,front panel,boot,alloy tarmac arches, ajustable leda legs, 4 pots,vented discs,rear discs,LSD axle 5.1 diff,panhard rod,tramp bars,quick rack,WCXM,bais peddle box,poly windows, streight cut rocket box,1700 all steel gear driven crossflow,mtwin 48 webbers, 180 BHP at 9500rpm@the flywheel,errrrr cant think what else, oh i know,its not finished. cheers.mark.

About ten years ago my then girlfriend bought me a days rally-driving experience for my birthday & they were using tuned 2-dr. Mk. 2 Escorts there. I asked why they were using such old cars & the reply was that they hadn't found anything else that could stand the abuse as well as them

all well and good but they dont make one 1700cc ,and unless you spend good money on one it wont live with this,150 hp i think.
