    Kitchen exhaust hood for single family dwelling



    Dear Gentlemen .... I would like to know if using a semi-rigid flexible duct for kitchen hood in single family dwelling acceptable or not ??

    It can be OK but will restrict the airflow a small amount.

    Make sure that it does not pose a fire risk and not too many bends.

    It the air is unfiltered then expect a large build up of dirt within the duct.

    Local legislation might put restrictions on it.
    Here in UK it's pretty standard to use at least some flex to connect the cooker hood with, what the rules say in KSA I do not know.
