Change of Compressor Oil

We have 04 x 100 TR McQuay Air Cooled Screw Chillers model McEnergy HA-ST 143.2. We are using Mobile Eal Arctic 68 Compressor Oil would someone advise as to after how many operating hours the oil requires to be changed.

As a general rule, Change the oil and oil filter after 20000 hrs running period. Regular oil checking and analyzing is very important. Different manufactures have different recommendations. trane recommend for screw compressor oil change after 4000 hrs running period. Better to check the oil regularly, if found any contaminants such as high level acidity, moisture present..etc replace the oil. As far as I know Mcquay recommends in generally oil replacement only after the oil analysis.

As Moideen has said regular oil testing is the best way of knowing, get this done by a accredited testing company.
We change the oil filters every year and take an oil sample at the same time. If this comes back OK with no cautions then we would not change the oil, if there are cautions then we would look at what they are and make a decision from there.
