    hotpoint ff175m

I have a Hotpoint ff175m fridge freezer and its not cooling in the fridge, the freezer is cooling and the fridge was working fine before I sold it to someone, the second they got it the fridge did not work at all, the freezer works fine, the defrost heater is working fine, the fan is not running at all although I have put a perfectly good replacement fan in and it still will not work, I have also tried 3 different pcb's and they all do the exact same thing.

I've checked all the wiring to and from the fan and there seems to be no breaks in the circuit. This one is completely baffling me, any help at all would be much appreciated.

Have you tested if the door switch is working? It should control the fan. Is it icing up at the back in the fridge with the fan not working?

Not sure on this model but is built in on most, if the fan isn't running though I would have expected the evap to ice up.

not to worry I just scrapped it, I think it was because the doors had been swapped over and it was messing with the magnetic door switch, I think I would have either had to put a new door on or reverse the doors again, neither was an option so it got scrapped. thanks for your help anyway.

No probs. cost of a new door probably 50% price of a new fridge

yeah checked it, it was fine, I think it was the magnetic strip on the door frame stopping it from working, I wasn't going to butcher it to get to it. it wasn't a problem to throw it out I work for a recycling company and there are plenty more coming in the door!
