3.5 ton condenser unit with a 3 ton coil

I had my 3 ton condenser swiped by some metal scavengers this weekend. I found the exact same model condenser on craigslist, except that it's a 3.5 ton unit. Is it at all possible to marry a 3.5 ton outdoor unit with my 3 ton indoor coil?

Before anyone asks, I certainly wouldn't be doing this install myself. I've got a buddy who does A/C work professionally who will come hook up a unit over a weekend for a nominal fee (and a bunch of beer..).
