    Room Pressurization

    Greeting to all,

Please if my correction were wrong.

Air Flow to Room (CFM)=2610x Crack Area (ft2) x Pressure Differential (inH20)^0.5.

First question is that if the crack area is unknown, any rule of thumb to substitute this parameter.

Second question is that,if we need to pump in the air to the air-conditioned room which is required 1000CFM to remove the sensible heat. Return is 6000 CFM. So the resultant airflow in the room is 4000 CFM. But the room need 8000 CFM to keep the designed positive pressure. In this case, do we need to pump in extra 4000 CFM (by secondary fan) all the time? Or till we reach the design pressure then to cut off the second fan. If we cut off the pressurization fan, will the room pressure will drop again from design setting.

    Regards

    Re: Room Pressurization

Consider you have a perfectly sealed room, with no leakage area. Do you think you can use this formula there?
