money!.....whats a fair salary??

hi im looking for some ideas of what is a fair salary is for an engineer in my position as i currently think im being screwed. be honest please im currently working for a fairly small company in the oxford area and cover reading, surrey and some of london. im 25 have 9 years experience, have NVQ2 and f-gas some basic electrical qualifications. i work mainly doing service and break down on splits vrvs, some chiller work and occasional install work. i have good technical knowledge of the equipment i work on and am normally the go to guy if another engineer cant find a fault. im interested to see what people in my position are earning?

currently im gettin shafted in manchester- pushing the big 40 and basic annual wage of 28k but with overtime ive limited myself to 48k for the reason being i get taxed on the family allowance, can earn upto 60k easily but gettin old now

The true answer is normally 10% above what your boss is willing to pay and 30% below what you think you deserve...
