Inverter Refrigerators ????
I've read in the Internet today that more and more companies are producing Refs with Inverter Technology.
We all know that in terms of power consumption, Manual Defrost is still the best way to save electricity comparing to no-frost refs.
But Inverter Refs are no-frost also and from what I knew, Inverter only saves electricity by reducing the stops and starts of the compressor.
A manual defrost ref rarely starts and stops especially if ice are accumulated in the freezer already but no-frost refs consumes more electricity due to its built-in heater which defrost the ice when it started to build up.
Do you think a no-frost ref with inverter technology helps saves electricity compare to regular no-frost ?? how about compare to manual defrost refs ??

Samsung already makes some for residential use. There is some energy savings, but the main advantage is better temperature regulation.
