There are many, many different types of ice makers available. What I would classify as typical would not be typical for others. Many ***** based ice maker packages use sub-cooling. A ***** liquid supply line may look as if it's connected to an oil separator or liquid receiver, when in fact, it's just passing through the receiver in it's own isolated circuit, to sub-cool the liquid in the line.
