I understand that inverter compressors speed up and down to maintain set point. My questions are during low load conditions will the compressor turn off to prevent over/under shoot of room temp. also how far past set point does the room require to be for this to happen?

The reason i ask this is because i have a 5Kw Kelvinator inverter wall split running on R410A that seems to over shoot the room. When set point is 22-23deg C we get room temps of 18deg C in cooling and 27geg C in heating.

When i change the set point from 22-23deg C to 26deg C cooling mode it maintains room at 22-23deg C. The same happens on heating with 22-23deg C room temp being maintained with a set point of 18deg C.

This means Auto mode cannot be utilised.

Another question is does the thermistor in these types of units sense the room temp or the evap temp and could this be an issue with ether the thermistor of PCB holding the compressor at higher speed then required or not allowing compressor cycle off once over shoot has happened?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
