    york YCIV motor overcurrent problem.

Hello expert york guys. Really need your help about this.YORK YCIV chiller. Unit keeps on tripping in motor overcurrent lockout. Panel history shows running current of 179Amps, having 193Amps of FLA. and motor overcurrent protection of 178Amps, the default protection i see is 280A.

Now my question is. Does a YORK YCIV motor protection varry? And what could cause this fault.. we have other units having same problem..

We recovered some refrigerant to lower running current and oil sight glass shows low oil level. While other chillers with same problem shows half to full oil levels.

if you need more data just ask. Thanks guys. Im still a newbie...

if any phase is over 105% of full load current then it will alarm, check parameters and comissioning sheet/chiller nameplate and compare, could be a loose connection
