Um, you're working in Oz & you don't know? Do you have a refrigerant handling licence? If you're a first year apprentice why hasn't your TAFE or Tradesperson told you?

    .

0 microns is an Absolute vacuum.
2000 microns is what we need to achieve.
Ideally most manufacturers look at 500 microns as the norm.

    Regards

    Rob

2000 microns if you can... Don be afraid to ask any question no mater how stupid it is its the only way to learn... I'd prefer to work with someone that will ask questions than someone that makes little of someone asking and think they know everything...!

Yup, used 2000microns / 2Torr in the UK. But over here, the requirement is 500 microns. There is another level based on size of the system, but frankly I forget what it is right now.
Everyone I know works to 500 microns.
Seems a bit of overkill to me, frankly. But that's the requirement.

And while I don't wish to discourage you Question Mark, the fact remains that you should not be working solo if you don't know that basic bit of information.
