Was that motor still running or had it seized?
Can't say I have ever come across a bearing that bad in something that was operational.

Hi Paul.
Honest answer, I cannot remember.
It span OK, despite having no front bearing. The rear which is a different size, does not seem to bad.
It was turned off when I came to change it.
I have one at the moment where I changed the shaft seal about 6 weeks ago, which is leaking again.
This was before I came to the conclusion it's the bearings.
Had I realised that then, I would not of bothered just to change the shaft seal.
The 2 locally rebuilt ones are still sound!
