    Husky fridge door switch

Hello, I have a Husky (Irn-Bru) single glass door upright fridge. The door switch has melted a bit inside. What does this switch control? It looks like it supplies a live to something in the fridge when the door is closed.

    Thankyou

    .

Being a glass door, it will not be a light that it is supplying

It will more than likely be to stop the evaporator fan from
running when the door is open. So it is important that it works.

    Regards

    Rob

    Re: Husky fridge door switch

Whats the reason to stop the evaporator fan from running when the door is open? Is it to stop it sucking in warm air?

The door might not be 100% level since the top hinge has been damaged and repaired at some time.

    Thankyou

Yes to stop warm air being pulled into the cabinet.
