    Cooling a small drinks dispenser

    Hello!

I am part of a student team designing a refrigerated dispenser that will contain about twenty cans, and we are trying to figure out the best way of doing it. It is for use in a shop and the cans will be loaded into the fridge already chilled.

What size compressor do you think we would need for such a job? The fridge would be enclosed. Also is there are alternative methods of refrigeration that could be used for something like this?

    Thanks a million!

    Emily

Have a look at Peltier cooling.

For something that size, you could also go with absorption. One of the local hotels I looked after recently changed all their room fridges for absorption type ones. They reckoned to get lower energy costs & importantly, lower noise by taking this route.
