Re charge procedure is it correct?
Hi
Just put a Mitsubishi SRK50ZIX-S and had no gas in it( 2nd hand) and now it turns on but the inside fan is running but the shutters are closed and outside compressor not running?
Can u check my method please as below.
Evac for two hours down to 250microns
Fit gas and purge at gauges to get rid of air and invert
Both valves still open(should i have closed one?)
Unit not running at this stage
Fill with 1.4kg of gas but only took 1.1kg
let settle for a few minutes
Turn on to cooling and run
turn off( think i should have left it running?)
let 300g gas in
Disconnect gauges
Unit wont run
Have i done this correctly, have i #@$%^ it?
Hope you can shed some light on it or a least verify my procedure?
Cheers

Re: Re charge procedure is it correct?
3 minute delay on start up of outdoor unit, did u put the indoor cover on properly - u can prise the louvres into an open position - mitsi dont have a limit switch on the louvres- u can unplug the louvre on the indoor pcb.

OK will do and thanks for the link but does my charging procedure look sound to you?
I have another one to fully re charge and was wondering if i had caused damage somehow by the way i charged it?

Re: Re charge procedure is it correct?
page 32 of the manual shows a flow chart, best to give it a long vac if the service valves were left open.
your method is ok except for prior to vaccing - pressure test with oxygen free nitrogen to upto 40 bar- if r410a to proove all is ok before vaccing
