if your going to use a fitting like that then your not going to worry about laying the bottle down the person using it was not even on site

These bottle will not have more then 200 bar and copper tubes up to 3/8 will not burst.
There are special bottles with 400 bar, not in our field.

gaugelines rated for 60 bar- manifolds- if used- weekest point would be the sight glass of the manifold .also the system is only designed for pressure test of around 40-42 bar- transducer/pressure switches would req testing to ensure still accurate!

I work a lot with high pressure gases up to 400Bar in 50 liters bottles, there are about 8m3 gas in such a bottle, the pressure + the high velocity can cut you in two instantly. Accidents have heppened.

    Re: ofn regulator

The person who did this must of been desperate to pressure test but did not have a reg with them. i am sure a safer way to test the system if this is a install and not a gas leak. Would to vac out the system with a vaccy stat ( unsure of the real name but it measures the mircons within the pipes you are vaccing out) if the system does not hold under 500 microns you know your in trouble.

    Re: ofn regulator

I'd bet they have broken their regulator and rather then admit it to their manager they have brazed onto the bottle connector.

Remeber talking to a guy in NRS few years back, he said out of his company they only had two vac pumps, the rest of the guys had eith broken theirs or sold them on ebay.... Shocking what goes on....
