    mitsi bc box problem



    i installed a job 4 years ago using a mitsubishi pury p700 with a cmb 1016v ha and a cmb p104v gb ,i have been called back to site after this time to give a price to replace the 2 bc boxes which have apparantley both got multiple leaks, has anybody else ever heard of this as i have fitted alot of these systems and never had a bc box go before.

    i have repared a few leaks on bc boxes not always easy to get to depends how thay have been instaled

    Have been installing and commissioning these for about 20 years and have only ever come across 2 with internal failures and having done nationwide support for Mitsubishi for a number of years I've seen quite a few.
    Both leaks were on formed splitter joints as a point of interest.
    And every other one was down to a ham fisted installer,bad flares,over tightened flares and the odd one where the clown must have had only one shifter or spanner on them while tightening and twisted the stub to the point of fracture.
    Not implying you are ham fisted by the way :-)
