Sanyo SPW-CR484AVH46 P26 Fault
I have been working on this unit and it keeps brining up a p26 fault.
At first I found compressor not running, did all the tests that the Sanyo manual prescribes and found the HIC board was not operating. Replaced the board and found the compressor would bring up the p 26 fault as the Compressor would ramp up to about 10 amps. Followed the fault code fault chart and then this prescribed replacing the Outdoor unit control PCB. Had to Re-Address the unit (ALSO on a side note, what are the correct/default settings for these units supposed to be) unit was running fine, so left site.
Was rang up by customer and said fault was reoccuring, changed parameter for the frequency(85) from disabled(0) to 50Hz(1). Unit was running fine for over an hour so I left. Fault then reoccured later.
Am unsure what avenue to persue now. I have seen a note saying that it is possible to resolve this trouble by limiting the maximum frequency, but how do you do this?
Any assistance would be great
Thanks

Re: Sanyo SPW-CR484AVH46 P26 Fault
Overcurrent at time of compressor runs more than 80Hz (DCCT
secondary current or ACCT primary current is detected at a time
other than when IPM has tripped.
Look for the answers in the accident description)

Re: Sanyo SPW-CR484AVH46 P26 Fault
Had another look at it today and liased with JNG (they are the Sanyo parts and technical for AUS i believe). They seem to think the HIC board i replaced may be a dud. The bloke was quite knowledgable and helpful.
Also the Frequency(85) meant that the frequency was in parameter 85 Not that the frequency was 85 Hz.
Thanks, will let you know how I go when the part turns up.

Re: Sanyo SPW-CR484AVH46 P26 Fault
I've also got a P26 fault but on an SPW-CR254GVH56.
Got power going to the compressor and it makes a knocking/grinding noise like its trying to kick in then cuts out on P26.
There's the same (but 10kw version) outdoor unit next to it working fine - could I swap the HIC board from this to see if this is at fault? Also both power and control boards were swapped prior to this due to different fault codes.
Install Monkey - the link is invalid can you re-post it please?
Thanks,

Re: Sanyo SPW-CR484AVH46 P26 Fault
Overcurrent protection control
(1) If the overcurrent protection circuit detects
abnormal current, the compressor is stopped. (Error
count = 1.) The compressor then restarts after 3
minutes.
(2) If compressor start/stop is repeated 4 times (error
count = 4), alarm “P26,” “P29,” or “H01” (count = 2
in this case only) occurs. Operation stops and does
not restart.

Re: Sanyo SPW-CR484AVH46 P26 Fault
Hi Guys,
We looked at this yesterday. We checked resistances on both (254 and 364) HIC boards all fine according to the chart.
We swapped the HIC from the 364 outdoor unit into the 254, still getting the same fault.
When the compressor is trying it kick it (it cycles about 3 times before going off on P26) we were getting 90volts through each U,V,W.
As above, the power and control boards have been replaced and also the compressor has been replaced as we assumed it was seized. Any ideas?

Cant at this moment look in docs, have trouble with boot sectors in HDD )
mmm i cant remember counter, something can block discharge? like check valve...
current transformer may be dead)

Re: Sanyo SPW-CR484AVH46 P26 Fault
Guys how do you limit the frequency parameter on these as Rone5 has done? I cant find it in any of the manuals.
