Numerical Methods for Engineers and Scientists, Second Edition
A great textbook for a first course in Numerical Methods as it gives an extensive yet detailed coverage of numerical techniques that form the base for more advanced work in CFD. This book is based almost entirely on the finite difference method for solving differential equations (ordinary and partial). A chapter addresses finite element techniques but it is in the spirit of a primer; you will need a textbook solely devoted to FEM. This book is primarily for the mechanical engineer, as most of the governing equations are invariably from the areas of heat transfer, fluid flow, gas dynamics and solid mechanics.

Re: Numerical Methods for Engineers and Scientists, Second Edition
Hi lads,
It`s 32MB, thats why I uploaded it on rapidshare.
Click the link, scroll down and click 'FREE' , it will take you to another page, wait for the countdown to finish, enter the 3 digit code on the screen, hey presto .
Once the file has downloaded open it and then 'unpack' it using WINRAR or WINZIP might work if you don`t have WINRAR. put the code that I gave you in when it asks you for a password. and thats it.

I have uploaded this time without using WINRAR, so all you have to do is click the link, wait 45 secs and download it.
Then open it with your pdf reader.

Re: Numerical Methods for Engineers and Scientists, Second Edition
Hello guys,
I have, for the most part, worked in residential air conditioning until now. Lately, many of my customers are convenience store owners that are requesting help with their med. and low-temp equipment as well; which is why I linked up with this forum. I don't have enough knowledge to solve all their refer problems. A problem I am currently working on is setting-up 2 Zero Zone reachin coolers (20 degreeF evap; prod. temp 37 to 45 degree; 130.6 cu. ft. capacity) model# 4RMCP30 in a store. These were purchased by the owner from a liquidating co. The main issue for me now is matching-up the 2 combined cases with the proper sized condensing unit to handle the load. I accessed specs for these at www.zero-zone .com (4RMCP30); cases to operate in an ambient of 75 Degree or lower. But, the outdoor ambient in the summer is around 100 F. The name plate on the equip. specified R-22. The Liqidater says a 1.5 hp, low-temp, R12 condenser will do the job. I told him I'll have to do some checking on that!

Re: Numerical Methods for Engineers and Scientists, Second Edition
Couldn't download it from both sites you provided , the second says that I can't download it because my country does not contribute in "i donno what " but i would like to have a copy .....
That's what the second link indicates :
"""Only users with IPs in the United States, UK and Canada enjoy unlimited free download services. The number of slots made available to other countries is calculated based on that country's contribution to covering our operational expenses. We can no longer afford to provide unlimited service to users from your country. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Re: Numerical Methods for Engineers and Scientists, Second Edition
Chillin out,
Just downloaded the book you posted. It should prove to be interesting. Thanks.
One thing I would like to warn people of who download this. The 45 second waiting time is used to collect personal information off of your PC. In my case, some program got my zip code and used it to link to a porn site, which is not what I was expecting.
This happened even with the firewall and anti-virus software, so download at your own risk people.

Re: Numerical Methods for Engineers and Scientists, Second Edition
Oh yeh... I forgot about that.
The 45 second delay is so you get anoyed with it, ( if you download lots of files). This is to make you buy a premium account. I am sure it does not in any way collect information from your pc.
It will though , after clicking to download, bring up a dating service.
why?
Because they get paid from the dating site owner.
It is just an advert, nothing to worry about.
If you have a firewall installed ( a decent one ) then nothing can get through. Not that this site is even capable of it.

Re: Numerical Methods for Engineers and Scientists, Second Edition
Chillin,
While I may have overstated the case about the porn site, it may have been as you said, a dating service.
If the content of the pictures was an example, there was more being advertised than dates!
Perhaps they were lonely girls that only wanted to talk?
Yeah, maybe for $3.99 a minute.

I'm sure that over the years it's cost more than that but it only costs her pennies to bend my earhole
