Capillary Tube Selection
Hi everyone,
Do you know any reliable capillary tube selection table?
Thanks.

Re: Capillary Tube Selection
Hi everybody,
Thanks for your help. Everything I got is based on a certain compressor. Is there any referance like TEV selection table which gives the capacity and the te together?

Re: Capillary Tube Selection
Hi lana
Maybe this link is better, compressor size and
capilary size.

Re: Capillary Tube Selection
Hi Lana
The table for cappilary calculation I have seen is from
a specified compressor capacity, or capillary tabels from Danfoss or others.
I do not think you can find a conversion table for diff.
types of compressors and diff. refrigerants in one tabel.
Take a look at RefSim simulation, it can calculate the
system and make calculations for a capilarry tube.

Re: Capillary Tube Selection
Hi lana, The only cap tube selection data I have is for a specific commpressor manufacturer. sorry.
But by using these with specific refrigerant types, once you know the pressure drop required, they can be quite accurate. Its a matter then of protype manufactuer and tweeking the system.
Simulations are great, but without accually producing and testing your design it's very difficult. As I'm sure you are aware the product to be cooled/stored can have slight variations as do componentry. Systems can work a treat on the computer but can have disapointing results once the system reaches test phase.
cheers

Lana i know i might be a little bit late with this post
but you might find this link to be of some use for
cap tube selection.
No doubt you would have the information you needed by
now anyway.

The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the fabricator and impossible for the serviceman.

Re: Capillary Tube Selection
Hello, why I can't open the link? Recently, I have found these information for a long time. can you tell how to select a capillay tube for the refrigerant R134a. Thank you very much!
