I have been trying to understand power factor and back emf.
i understand that the back emf is the generator effect of a motor which effectively lowers current drawn of a motor.
Power factor is created due to the inductance of the windings, due to this inductance, which is extra resistance on top of the resistive element of the windings the amps drawn on the motor is also decreased.
So both these mechanisms reduce current drawn.
Are they related? Is back emf the final outcome of the inductive nature of the motor which is related to power factor?
