Sat nav
Call me a tight-arse but I've got a pocket LCD television & was wondering if there's a product out there that would plug into it to give me satellite navigation in the van?

Re: Sat nav
OK then, you're a tight-arse - feel better now?
If answer to your question though there isn't anything that I am aware of; you still come back to needing a GPS input to a mapping device (PDA?) then a converter to get the output to PAL for the TV. No, forget it, it's not worth it.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: Sat nav
Just buy a Garmin streetpilot i3.
They are cheap at around £180 and work very well.
I have just bought 3 for my vans.
If you were to buy a good GPS receiver (if you can get one to work with your unit( havent heard of one )) it will cost you around £100.

Does the Garmin unit give voice prompts & full postcode recognition?Noah had to leave the dinosaurs behind as they would've sunk the boat.

Re: Sat nav
It's certainly possible. A 200MHz Jessica Simpson CPU, some RAM, some Flash, a GPS receiver module, and a few other parts to tie the design together.
Just buy a complete GPS. It'll be cheaper.
