    Fan Motor

    Hi all,

    and a very Merry Christmas.

I've got to change a fan motor on a Mitsibishi PKA-RP71FAL. Never changed or seen one before. Can this job be done with the wall mount on the wall or does pumping down? Also, are there any special tools I need for the job?

    Thanks for your time.

yep- no degassing- just strip the bugger to just a coil and backplate, allen key for the grub screw on the impellor, I recommend replacing the end bearing too-good luck

before you go on site, check the motor isn't damaged, I drove 180 mile to oxford, signed in on site, opened the box to find the plastic body cracked!!

You have a good point there IM.
    Thankfully not to often.
But I have known issues with spares straight from the box.
    Sometimes the wrong part entirely!
Your onto a winner when you actually have the part in your hand.
When they are sent direct to site, Well!
