Differential pressure - 2 Way valve

Could I measure the differential pressure through the valve (DPv ) by: (DPv ) = Ps – DPcoil - Pr , like showed on the sketch below? Is it correct to measure this way? Or measuring by CBI through the STAD is it possible to measure the DPv ? What’s the right procedure to measure the valve DPv?

If the DH could be very higher is it necessary to install a modulating relief valve e.g BPV (TA) to reduce the differential pressure by a constant value?

    Thanks in advance.

as the pressure drop will prob be low the corect way is through the stad as this can be converted to flow using the corect chart for the valve

Re: Differential pressure - 2 Way valve

Martin, First , thank you for your answer,
But the readings through the STAD , Wouldn't be only the differential pressure across the STAD and not the differential pressure through the control valve (V)?

    Thanks
