Re: Water into the system!!! help me
hi k,
you need a fan assisted gas heater to blow on to the system and onto the ofn bottles which you need to blow through the system once you have found the leak , if there is space enough to split the
fridge system then do so especially the compressor, drain the oil( and water )
new dryes, vac out, gas up , best of luck= sedgyLast edited by sedgy; 24-11-2012 at 08:38 PM.

Re: Water into the system!!! help me
Any and all of the oil in the system is now acidic, drain as much of it as possible.
Flush the system with as much OFN as you can get your hands on.
Several deep vacuums, each broken by OFN.
New driers, make sure there are valves before and after the drier(s).
Triple vacc and recommission.
Run for a day or so then change the drier. Repeat this step as necessary.
After a week or so replace the oil.

Re: Water into the system!!! help me
Water can break down the chemicals that are the ingreadients of the oil, kind of undoes the manufactuing process.
Also the water will have likely brought in suspended dirt and grit and left it behind.
Depending on the system and how much water got in, it may be better (cheaper in long term/more reliable) to scrap the system and replace with new.Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

Re: Water into the system!!! help me
I going to get my arse kicked here.
Isolate the compressor, flush with a a cleaning agent.
Now the system, fit valves at low points!
Flush the system with very hot water (80C) plus "Yes hot water"
When clean of shyte, drain hot water, and blow through the system with hot air. ( I actually draw through a system with a vaccum cleaner (a air heater on the inlet)).
This will remove all the crude, the heat will remove most free water.
Now, purge OFN warm if possible.
Vacuum the system, own to 200 micron or below.
Keep heat on the system if possible.
This is a quicker and better, than trying to clean a system, with OFN only.

Demineralised water "Mad"??
To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty.

Re: Water into the system!!! help me
In a perfect world, but just clean filtered tap water is OK,
The water that is already in the system is likely to have more crap in it.
Hot water will loosen any oil (which will be contaminated) that within the system, hot water will flow more easily out of the system (so already less free water), when air is applied.
Because the internals are hot the any free water will evaporate very easily.
Your filters (which should always be fitted after this type of fault) will pick up any deposited TDS (total dissolved solids) which will be minimal.
