    Trane rtac 155 sensor bindinig

    Hi guys
i am trying to replace faulty leaving water sensor in our chiller rtac 155.
I have downloaded tech view from trane site & installed.
When i click on the icon its not opening.
Does it open only after connecting to chiller processor.
Can we use usb adapter in place of rs232.
Pls send me ur valuable sugestions.

    Hi Anish,
You should be able to run Tech View with no unit connected.
If you cannot open program, then you have to uninstall and install again.
Be aware of minimum requirements that each version need and possible conflicts on your computer.
About USB to RS232 adapter. Use IOGEAR GUC232A. It is recommended, this and other two brands that I don’t remember, by Trane. (Not officially)
    I have it, it works.

    Hi Anish,
The cable should be direct and not cross over.
Direct means pin 1 to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2 etc.
In cross over cables 2 pins are crossed.
