Vac pump on suction or discharge valve
Hi
To create vacuum inside the compressor I was wondering if it is best to connect the vacuum pump to service valve on suction valve or service valve on discharge valve ?
Or will it give the same result no matter which one I connect it to...
How long time do I have to run the vac pump to make sure all air is out of the compressor housing.
Thank u......

Re: Vac pump on suction or discharge valve
vac on both sides for as long as possible, a torr gauge should be used to reach 500 microns or under 3 torr

Re: Vac pump on suction or discharge valve
OK thanks.
But about these 2 service valves. Are they both connected to the inside of the compressor housing ? (Bitzer comp)
It they are, then I guess it should be enough to vac. from only one of them.
Or are the not having suction from the same area inside the compressor ?

Re: Vac pump on suction or discharge valve
There are valves inside the compressor, remember?

Re: Vac pump on suction or discharge valve
If there are two service valves why not connect to them both? You`ll increase the vacuum flow and cut down the evacuation time.
