    Walk In Cooler Floor



    24x24 walk in cooler, concrete floor. 1800lb/sq foot storage. What kind of concrete floor should i build? I was told that a contractor would build the floor, but I need some sort of calculator, any one know of one? Thanks guys, we are in in the same trade and help is nice to have on our side.

    The sub structure under the concrete slab is critical for that sort of loading per square foot, add the reinforcing in concrete slab is as well critical to stop/ avoid cracking of slab.
    By you saying chiller , do you mean above 32'F nominal, even approaching 32 'F you should concider under floor ventilation. Plus include vapour barrier separation under construction slab.
    Consult with a reputable Structural Engineer.

    i will have a vapor barrier, but not ventilation, I hooked up with a concrete dude and he will have it reinforced and do all the calculations. Thanks for the time, cheers.
