    Ingersoll rand dryer fault



    Hi guys,
    Looking for help on an built in dryer which is in a ingersoll rand air compressor model IRN30KTAS.
    not worked on these units before and having pure headaches with it,Problem is dryer not working power ok and gas in system R134A, after switching unit on breaker trips instantly air compressor ok but dryer wont come on,hp switch on liq line have linked out and try run again this time breaker doesnt trip so would say hp faulty but belled out switch and seems good, ideas if i might have some other problem, all fuses ok aswell. Thanks

    link 1 switch out at a time, if you suspect hp switch then it may be grounding - test with a megger from each cable to the brass connection on the fitting

    I`ll go with the pressure switch too. Everything to do with the dryers on these air compressors was cheap and nasty. Best replace the switch with a decent one.

    9 out of every 10 dryers I come to seem to have faulty pressure switches, horrible little things, haha
