help pls.. im new in the airconditioning field..
can some1 please tell me if split type and wall mounted air conditioners are just the same...
and if it is the same can u pls help me or even give me a sample of the heat load calculations involving the design with either of the two.. thank a lot..

They are called 'split' because there are two parts.
One outdoor unit and one indoor (normally).Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

A wall mounted unit is the type of indoor unit. There are a few different types, a wall unit, a cassette unit, ducted unit and an under ceiling unit. To work out the heat load calculations you have to have the specific size of the area you want to heat or cool. You also have to calculate solar gain in the area ie how many people in the area, is the building south facing lights computers all have to be taken into account before you calculate the heat load.
