HP Rating
Hello.
My refrigerator compressor's datasheet says that the cooling capacity at -23.3 degrees C is 240 watts. Does this mean that it is a 1/3 HP compressor? Or is it still in the 1/4 HP range?
Also, someone in the refrigeration store said that 1/4 HP compressors use the same size capillary tube as 1/3 HP compressors, is this true?
Thank you for your time.

Re: HP Rating
If you read your own data sheet you will be able to see that answer that you seek, it's all there in black and white.

Re: HP Rating
The size of the capillary depends on the design of the system, not the size of the compressor.
