Stainless steel evaporative condenserr
I'm interested in any opinions or problems regarding stainless steel condenser coils
Are they prone to any unforseen problems?
Is stress corrosion cracking an issue?
Thanks

Re: Stainless steel evaporative condenserr
They are virtually indestructible, the only problems are more expensive and larger as the degree of conductivity.

Id also be careful the water is not treated with any chlorine/bromine. We had another contractor dose a evap cooler feeding our SS tube condensers. Ate them out pronto.

Re: Stainless steel evaporative condenserr
Thanks kiwi, I think they are pretty good but not indestructable.
Stainless can still corrode under the right circumstances.
We are finding cooling tower water treatment companies far from being experts as well.
They could easily dose it up with something incorrect if not aware.

Re: Stainless steel evaporative condenserr
I think steel pipe for coil is only used in special type and other conventional condenser mostly used like BAC.
