410 system on wrong pipe real life now its 2012 whos done it

    Good evening.

When existing pipework from r22 system is IMPOSSIBLE to replace ….ie in fabric of listed building.
And old liquid suction line 3/8 5/8 and new ¼ ½

Assume run reasonable, say level, 10 mtr
Assuming pipe strength is ok, and overnight endoflush done
And assuming one can cope with some loss in performance
Assuming lack of warranty has been addressed with customer

What is the real life risk to reliability....

It is 2012 now, 410 hs been in use a while, and if love to hear from from anyone who has been doing this consistently in real life ..

    thanks

Both Daikin and Toshiba have systems that are able to be configured for that application

Been there and had to done it. No real problem but depending upon the unit it may be undercharged. If it's a 30m one then it should be fine but if it's 15m then it will be under for sure.Adding isn't by the book it's more to experience and SH.

You could use one of the replacment suitable units but if in doubt use a flush kit to clean the pipes.

However in all honesty you won't notice any difference once up and running.

mitsi power inverter use replacement technology- (anyone would think i sell the stuff) no endoflush req.
the only limitations are- the original r22 must be operational- if pipe sizes are different theres a dip switch to adj but did 5 in peterborough-was on old hitatchis - still running been in 2 yr now- fit it,re do the flares at each end- run on clean mode for upto 2hrs then flick dip switch and off you go- it has a carbon filter in to trap the aid/mineral oil
    - ive fitted 1 to a system that was f****d and it works - as long as it holds a 40 bar pressure test all ok
