    Daikin RYP100L7W1 R407c



    Anyone aware of condenser coil issues on these units, suspect i've got a leaking one, pain in the arse to leak test.....

    had rzq100 cond coil go on 410a condenser- bottom row right behind cond fan bracket-you have to cut the fins away-managed to blob it- still working 4 mths later!

    failed another daikin today with a failed condenser coil..... theyve got me going to a daikin vrv on friday for a leak, suspected coil again....

    vrv's refnets split if the pipework is clamped too tight- also valve caps on the shut off valves-if not tight can leak- not schraeder caps!- when degassing if any in,vaccing and pressuretesting- drive all valves open on outdoor pcb

    Not worth repairing IMHO. Put the 1500 towards a new unit and they will save on running costs.. Till the next condenser leak!

    I just don't understand how Daikin can get away with this and have been for many years.

    Easier just to swap out condening units. Working it out cost v time there really isn't much in it. Unless it's free issue warranty

    Monkeys on to that- patch the coil,repair get overtime. Quote for new coil as customer is too tight to accept my other quote -so he will accept the quote for coil replacement ,hey presto comission and overtime- monkey wins!!!
