New to RE, and already Designing a Cooling Tower System for Tanks :o

    Hello

I am completely new to this forum. It's in fact my first contact with "refrigeration".

I am building a steel tank for an industrial* application and it uses a copper cooling coil (I came here to ask about pressure drop calculation of the coil in another thread).

Eventually I will have to find somebody to supply a small cooling tower outside on the roof, add a pump, and a lot of piping. We want to cool a dozen or so tanks.

But since I am in a remote location where technology is often just estimated and calculations and simulations seem to be the exception, I am now looking for knowledgeable people to help me understand what I am actually doing.

    All the best,
    Alex

    * I am actually building this on a small budget for a company with less than a hand full employees, hence I can't just go and find a specialist :/

Well, if you don't know what you are doing, how on earth do you expect to reach a successful outcome?

Consultants generally come at a price.

However, Google can assist you to locate a myriad of useful reading materials.

    Thanks for your reply.

I am confident with the help of Google and this forum I will eventually get there.

The price of consultants is not a problem, the problem in my case is that I don't have any available locally so I need to look online. That's where RE comes in

Not a big job. I would employ DesA for this application, a couple of hours of work and DesA could give you ALL the info you need to ensure that you have all the right information for equipment supply.
