Zanussi Zi918/12KA Fridge-Freezer running continuously and makes loud gurgling sound
I have a Zanussi Zi918/12KA Fridge-Freezer about 4 years old: like other people have described, after defrost about a month ago a loud gurgling sound is coming from inside the fridge and freezer, and the compressor is running continuously. Have replaced the thermostat but it made no difference. the freezer is very cold and the fridge slowly reaches 2 deg C.
The new thermostat is set at minimum (1) but does not seem to switch off the compressor, suggesting it is faulty....?
Any ideas?

But why doesn't the compressor get switched off by the thermoststat?

Don't believe it's compressor fault as its running and the FF is getting cold.

fridge fan working? usually the thermostat controls the fridge temp- hence not stopping the compressor

Re: Zanussi Zi918/12KA Fridge-Freezer running continuously and makes loud gurgling so
thermostat could stop the compressor from cutting out but the loud gurgling sound is coming from inside the fridge is normally to do with gas circulating round the sytem, needing to look at compressor to see if working correctly and enough gas in the system

Re: Zanussi Zi918/12KA Fridge-Freezer running continuously and makes loud gurgling so
There is no fridge fan. The only way the thermostat controls the temperature is by cutting off power to the compressor, so if the compressor is always on, the new thermostat does not seem to be working correctly. As I said, the fridge is getting cold (now -8deg C!) so there seems to be enough fluid in the system.
