We struggle and she affords a room full of $2000 hats. I'd rather sit on the dock with a beer.

Sorry to disappoint but I welcome the celebrations and rejoice in the monarchy and all the great and wonderful things it brings. The greatest Empire the world has ever seen .
So stick that up your jumper!

Re: more bank hols
I prefer what we have to the alternative of a republic with a elected President.
Yes there are imperfections and royal hangers on.
But are the republics around the world any more stable, I think not!
I having served for my country believe in the queen and country.
I accept "All" have the right to free speech and voice their opinion.
But showing the queen doing a "Heil Hitler" is shall we say not in the best of taste!
The only reason any of us Europeans are here and able to freely post an opinion.
Is because Thousands within the Commonwealth believed in those same principles.
This whole post is questionable is it not?

Re: more bank hols
There's not a lot in common within the commonwealth ,appears to be a vanity exercise in clutching at the former glory's of a fallen empire.
Well that's how this Irishman see's it.
But jubilee clips are very handy all the same.
Cheers

That's gratitude for you. Without Uk support you'd be back cutting peat
A deal to save the Irish economy, and the euro, has been agreed that will cost the equivalent of £300 for every household in the UK.

Re: more bank hols
No problem with cutting peat.
If you're lot hadn't stuck there oar in to begin with we'd have happily plodded along doing our own thing.
Mainly getting p1ssed and cutting turf.
After all your government is doing a sterling job with the economy over there double -dip and all that.
Maybe if they stopped shelling out on saving face with the yanks and paying for wars that don't concern them things would be a lot brighter.
Bring back Maggie , how much is her little **** up with the miners way back when still costing per year now??
Cheers
