Design of !6TR Chilling plant.
Can any one guide how to design 16 tr chiller plant?
Here is required details.
Condenser : water cooled
ambient temp.: 30-32 degree Celsius
refrigerant : ***** (R22)
Chiller flow rate : 6000 lph
Inlet temp.: is 9-10 degree Celsius and out let temp.: 2 degree Celsius
Please kindly post required procedure.

Being in a rush will not help you design a 16Tr chiller.

I appreciate your kind reply..
actually i reached up to 50% in design process..I selected compressor, & evaporator but want to calculate cooling tower calculation & condenser, i have delta T, specific heat for capacity of cooling tower but how can i get to know of mass flow rate to cooling tower so can get TR of cooling tower.

I totally agree with Brian_UK
for a start why are you concidering using R22 when the rest of the world has banned the use of it, additional- your delta split on chiller water side is too high, use 5.5 'C., plus the leaving water temp from chiller is too low at 2 'C and will conflict with anti freeze stat safety, minimum 5.5 'C any lower add anti freeze solution to water

Hi Magoo,
actually in kenya still there is no banned on R22 and client have already told for R22 and they have ice cream mixing plant what they want to execute.
All data had been given by client.

500 X ( Cond water outlet minus condenser water in temp in deg F )
HOLDING LOAD IN BTU/HR
### MIN . COND WATER FLOW IN US GPM = --------------------------
500 X delta T WATER AS ABOVE
