compressor capacity
hiiiiiiiii
i have a a question about compressor
how to detect the size of compressor i mean 2 ton or 4 ton or 1/4 ton
somebody say we can detect it by its shape and size
others by LRA or by nameplate
can any body answer me

Only one way I know of, the name plate.

If the compresser is hermetically sealed then other than a name
plate it would be extremely hard to size the thing.
As compressors get larger and if they are accessable then the
cylinder heads could be removed to reveal bore and stroke, that
would enable you to size the thing.
If the compressor was a screw type or worse a scroll type then
I think the only people who could size it are the manufactures
and for that makers plates are required.
