    oil change/134a

got a call yesterday to a holding room 1.5 hp hubbard/prestcold type semi hermetic all the gas r12 had gone traced the leak and repaired it the tev was leaking a termix? [manufacturer so changed it to a danfoss 134a valve and charged it with 134a,the oil will need changing i know and was thinking of vaccing a vessel and pulling the oil from the compressor via the vessel to save removing the comp and then filling with suitable oil.

That's how I do it, have an old disposable bottle I put extra tap on but a two valve reco bottle would work well. 1.5hp prestcold have 500/600ml oil in them iirc.

Very nice video! I had to make a oil change in a maneurop unit, the previous compressor were burn down. And the previous dudes, leve all like thath just changue the compresor, no filter change, no pipe cleaning, no difussor cleaning, or valve cleaning. Now I install a liquid and suction filters, its late to cleaning pipes, but i also change the TXV, the question is... Once i remove the old oil from the compresor, should fill with a litte bit, give it some starts to make sure all the mud and old oil in the carter will be removed, before to fill with the new oil?
    Thanks in advance.
