    Pressure Kick

    Hi all,
I was doing some engine mods on a truck the other day & a sparkie (site A/C man) came up to regas the A/C (CCTX) (134a) system & I asked him what pressure he was going to gas the system to for the ambient temperature & his reply was, I don't worry about that I just add gas till I see the gauges kick, can any one explain this phenomina?
    Thanks - Leigh

It's a phenomina I've encountered quite a few times now. It's caused by the bloke doing the work talking a load of cobblers!

    Cheers,
    Andy.

Personally I think you are too reserved Andy!

However many from Oz in the past.
Have questioned Electricians ability to install A/C.
And their stranglehold upon the right to do so.
