Thanks Abe , helpful site although I'm not a UK resident but that helps to know how things go in other parts of the world

Whilst it may not apply to you....
Any UK company working outiside the UK is 'advised' to comply with UK HSE regulations. That even if you employ locals....
Any EU state company even if working outside the EU is 'expected' to comply with 'all' EU regulations.
We have guys in Bahrain who the legal eagles have decided must comply with HSE, noise, hazardous waste etc.
Not the most competitive bid as you can imagine....Derek
